To continue the grey theme this week, I am fully embracing the wonder of the grey sweatshirt this weekend. Well, the colour sure does match this miserable weather.

A grey marl really is going back to basics. Sports wear in influence, a basic sweat has now become a wardrobe must-have.

Play down a smart skirt and court shoes for an unexpected twist on work wear and don’t just mix with denim – try teaming with tailoring and trainers like I’ve done here.

The bedroom renovations are on their way! Decorator is in and I am desperately trying to stay in budget and not go mental with new ‘things.’

I spotted this amazing French map in a local framers last week and was really tempted for Charlie’s room – but at £250, it’s going to be a no from the husband (AKA the Financial Controller). I love it because my home-town of Birkenhead is so prominent!

Unless anyone has any other ideas (PLEASE!), I think I’m going to track down some map wrapping paper and frame that.

Meet my new boot babies. They’re the grey, ‘Cleo’ suede ankle boot from Jigsaw and I LOVE them.

I love them so much that I’m not prepared to get them wet, so they will be inside only at the moment.
