A Deadly Attraction to Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in Fatal

It has been more than a year since I last got an Illusion D’Ombre but when Chanel released the Holiday 2013 collection, I knew Fatal will eventually come home with me. I purchased this in January (thankfully, the Chanel counter in Parkson still had it) and have been using it quite regularly since.

Fatal is a bronzey-plum with silver shimmer and has a softly metallic finish. Illusion D’Ombre has a very unique mousse-spongey texture that is really interesting and unlike any other cream pot shadows. It applies very smoothly across the lids and the intensity can be built if you need a stronger colour.

I usually prep my eyelids with a primer first before applying to enhance its longevity. It works well without a primer but is prone to slight creasing on me. I like wearing it alone with just a black winged liner during work days.

My Illusion D’Ombre stash consists of shades that were released in seasonal collections and I am not sure why I have not picked up any from the permanent range. I think it’s because each pot is rather expensive and I would like to make sure that it warrants a special purchase.

Unfortunately I am not certain if the Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in Fatal is still available locally but I got mine on 19th January at Parkson, Subang Parade and they still had a couple left at that time. Each pot costs RM110 and contains 4g of product.

Do you have fatal attraction to Fatal and how do you like it? What is your favourite cream shadow at the moment?
