Running on Real Food

Like I mentioned on Friday, it’s hard to believe in one month, I’ll be running my first 24 hour relay with Team #islagiatt (It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time for those who don’t know what that means!).

A relay has been on my running bucket list for some time. I’m thrilled to be running from the mountains to the sea for Reach the Beach.

What better way to see the great state of New Hampshire than by running it?

There are 12 of us on Team #islagiatt. Nine women and 3 guys. The funny thing is that the majority of us didn’t know each other before signing up for this little run. So what better way to get to know each other than bonding over bars, specifically Taste of Nature snack bars?

I like running on real food. I want to know exactly what is in my food. If it has ingredients that I have in my cupboard, it’s what I want. Nothing artificial. Nothing with weird names. That’s not going to keep me running in life or on the roads.

Taste of Nature believes Real Tastes Good, and creates delicious, certified organic, gluten-free certified, non-gmo project verified snack bars with real, nuts, fruits and grains that you can see (and under 200 calories, too). Nothing artificial, no fillers and no chemicals – what you see is what you get with these bars.

See that? All real, baby!

Since we’ll be living in a van for 24 hours and running up a storm, you know we’ll be getting hungry. We’re going to need a snack. Or twenty.

I let my teammates sample the six delicious flavors available in the U.S.: Brazilian Nut Festival, California Almond Valley, Quebec Cranberry Carnival, Canadian Maple Forest, Himalayan Goji Summit, Persian Pomegranate Garden.

The overwhelming response from around the table:

“Oh these are really, really good!”

I love every single flavor but the Persian Pomegranate Garden and Himalayan Goji Summit were by far my favorites. So much crunch but not too sweet.

Taste of Nature recently did a survey on healthy snacking. The results were interesting. Of Americans surveyed, 85% found healthy snacking to be difficult. Half of those surveyed say that healthy snacking is so difficult because it is hard to find a healthy snack that tastes good.

America, Taste of Nature is your solution!

Convenient and delicious all at less than $2 a bar.

Taste of Nature can be found at natural products stores and grocery retailers. You can search your area here: http://www.tasteofnature.ca/where-to-buy/

If you are in New Hampshire, you can find them at Philbrick’s Fresh Market, Portsmouth or A Market, Manchester.

I will definitely be sure to pack a ton of Taste of Nature bars in my bag for Reach the Beach to keep Team #islagiatt running on real food.

You can find Taste of Nature on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
