Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50 PA

I have always avoided facial sunscreens because they tend to feel thick and some even break me out. But as summer approaches, the SPF levels in my morning moisturizer and BB cream are simply not enough. I’m so glad to have found a lightweight facial sunscreen that feels great on the skin and doesn’t cause any breakouts! Honestly, the products in Biore’s Asian line is so much better than their U.S. line. I remember loving Biore products when I used to live in China. But none of their U.S. products have been super impressive. Biore is owned by Kao Corporation, a Japanese company, so it makes sense that their Japanese line have fantastic products. But why not release those in the U.S. as well?

This line of Biore sunscreen has a few varieties: milk, mousse, essence, and jelly. I picked up the essence version and it has the texture of a lightweight lotion. It has a light yellow color when you squeeze it out of the tube but after you spread it onto your skin, it’s completely clear and it leaves no residue. A large pea size amount does the job for my whole face. I’d also like to add that even on days that I forget to put on a primer, this sunscreen serves as a good base for my makeup. I would highly recommend this product to those with combination and oily skin. (I still think it’s necessary to use a moisturizer before this product because it’s not hydrating enough on its own.)

Even though Asian products are hard to find in the states, the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence sunscreen is available through Amazon for about $13. Some Asian markets that carry Asian cosmetics might also have it in stores.
