Laneige Water Sleeping Mask Sleeping masks or sleeping facials...

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

Sleeping masks or sleeping facials are pretty common among Asian skincare brands. Western brands such as Korres, Peter Thomas Roth, and First Aid Beauty have also released their own sleeping masks. But the Laneige, TonyMoly, and Pure Heals offer more affordable alternatives and these products have been on the market for much longer.

This sleeping mask comes in a 2.7 fl oz jar. The packaging is not my favorite because it doesn’t come with a mini spatula and it’s not the most hygienic. I personally use a clean paddle foundation brush to scoop out the product and applying it evenly (in outward strokes) onto my face. This product will last a long time and we want to minimize the chance of getting germs and bacteria in there.

The texture is a gel-like consistency and it reminds me of one of my favorite gel moisturizers, the Clinique Moisture Surge. You’ll need about an almond size amount of product for the whole face. Initially, I thought this mask would feel really heavy on the skin, especially considering it’s already summer and I live in a humid environment. But surprisingly, this mask is completely absorbed into the skin after 10-20 minutes. It does have a slightly sticky finish (expected from a gel product) but it does not leave the skin feeling tight.

On the next morning, I can tell that my skin is noticeably smoother. Best of all, it does not make my skin more oily than usual and it did not break me out :) I think this product would work really well with any skin type. I let my mom, who has dry and aged skin, to try this and she really enjoyed it as well.

This is a great product to take with you on long flights because cabin air is very drying. Simply put this product in a travel size container and you will be off to a more enjoyable flight!

This product is available at: Target (U.S. only) and Sasa
