In 2nd grade, a classmate tapped me on shoulder and told me I was a tomboy. I was offended and embarrassed – I don’t know why, but the way she said it made it sound like a negative. If I ever saw that girl again I’d tap her on the shoulder and say, “yeah, sometimes I dress like a tomboy. What of it?” I’d end the conversation with a hair flip and as I’m walking away, I’d realize that I was speaking to the wrong classmate…
