I can’t help but layer, even when it comes to parties! You know, it’s cold outside and all you’ve got is a little strappy party dress. Yeah you’ve got a coat but STILL, you might get cold and a statement cuff and clutch just isn’t enough accessorising for you. Ok, I might be on my own here, but I just can’t help but mix things up by adding a top underneath! Maybe I’m secretly a little scared of dresses!

It might not come as a surprise that I don’t really own any party dresses as the ‘glitzy, one night only dress’ isn’t a brief my wardrobe gets assigned very often. Then the festive season creeps up on me and there I am come cyber weekend frantically searching for dresses without a clue what suits me. Hopefully this Free People iridescent sequin dress will do the job. Pairing it with a little collared crop top means you can style it a little differently. Perhaps adding a pencil skirt would give it another lease of life too. There we go, I’ve already got two parties sorted. – Bring on the Christmas parties!
