Beautiful Flowers Delivered via The Bouqs Company

Here’s a quiz for you:

Can you buy beautiful flowers — delivered — for forty bucks? And FREE shipping?

Yes you can!

A few months ago I was asked if I was interested in trying out The Bouqs Company, an online flower delivery service.

I agreed to give it a go. And I’m glad I did.

From their website:

My wife is not a big flowers, perfume, and jewelry kind of gal. But I knew she’d appreciate a bouquet of roses – since it’s been a long time since I sent her some.

Ordering on the Bouqs site is super-simple. Assuming you can make up your mind of what to order! There are lots of beautiful bouquets to choose from.

Here’s a screen capture of a few of the selections available. (Click on the image to enlarge the photo.)

When it comes to roses, my wife prefers yellow ones. Her petite wedding bouquet was yellow roses and so was my boutonniere rose. So, of course, I ordered the Rise ‘n’ Shine arrangement as shown below.

Here’s the scoop on these botanical beauties:

They are grown on the side of a volcanic mountain in South America. My flowers came from Ecuador. They were in cold storage for just four days before they made the long trip from South America to Indiana and ended up on my wife’s desk at work.

They were amazing. In every way.

The blooms were spectacular. I didn’t see one dead or near-dead petal. The leaves were pristine – dark green with no blemishes.

THE ORDERING PROCESS

It’s simple to order flowers from The Bouqs Company. You just need to plan ahead. Flowers that are grown in South America need to be ordered about a week in advance of the delivery date.

SURF’S UP!

Bouqs now offers flowers from sunny California too. So…when you need fresh flowers really fast – you can get them from here in the States. A standard bouquet will run you $50. Still WAY less than what I’ve paid to local florists in my area.

The Bouqs site tells you the earliest delivery date at the top of the flower section. For example, today is September 29th. The earliest delivery date for orders placed today (for flowers shipped out of South America) is October 7. So…as long as you have a few days to work with, you can do this with no trouble.

Need flowers delivered next-day? You can do that too. Place your order flowers from the California Collection and your gal or guy will have them tomorrow!

Standard-size bouquets shipping from California are $50. Still a HUGE savings over the florist in my hometown. The last time I sent flowers to my wife, the credit card bill was almost $100.00. And the flowers were NOT to my standards.

They only lasted a couple days. I was very disappointed.

Just go to the Bouqs website and find the arrangement that best fits your special occasion.

Then, fill in the details of where the flowers should be delivered. Add your credit or debit card to the order form and BOOM you’re done!

Oh, and you can create a personal note to the recipient too. There’s plenty of space to enter a mushy love letter (or a simple note). The greeting will be attached to the inside of the box and can be detached so your special person can easily remove it and keep it tucked in a memory box or scrapbook forever.

You’ll receive an order confirmation e-mail and tracking information too. It was fun to track my order from Ecuador to Indiana.

A Small Snafu

I received an email from a Bouqs Customer Service rep letting me know that due to a mistake on their part, my flowers would be delivered a day later than expected.

At first I was furious. My wife works a flex-schedule and I ordered the flowers to arrive on a day that she’d be in her office.

Now I was being told they’d be delivered on Friday – a day she’s out of the office. I was NOT a happy camper.

As it turned out, she DID have to be in the office on Friday morning for some last-minute follow-up, and her flowers were delivered by the 11AM deadline.

All’s well that ends well. Whew!

{Later I learned there was an insect issue with flowers coming from the South America source. I’m sure that’s a big no-no for plants coming into the U.S. from a foreign country.}

Boom! Just look at these flowers!

There were so many flowers, my wife had to use TWO vases. One for the roses and one for the Calla lilies. It was the most beautiful bouquet of flowers I’ve ever seen. And TOTALLY affordable.

Will I order flowers from The Bouqs Company in the future?

Absolutely. No doubt about it.

And I highly recommend that you give them a try too.
