My favorite looks - Filmfare Awards 2014

Hi guys.. Now that my most favorite and the most prestigious award ceremony (according to me) is over, obviously I have my favorite picks from the Indian Red carpet. Filmfare can very well be called the Desi Oscars. Being the oldest in the industry, it holds a whole lot of sentimental value for everyone though like many even I believe that awards have lost their sanctity which is kind of sad. Nevertheless the Red carpet is getting hotter by the year with our celebrities getting more & more experimental with their styles. My grouse with Indian media is that you can never find great pics of these events. They just do not do any justice to the outfits :-( So unfortunately will have to make do with whatever is available on the net.
Risque wear of the evening When it comes to style and glamor, the only person I look up to in Bollywood is my very favorite Deepika Padukone. What I love about her is her appetite to take risk and somehow make it work. She has a gorgeous body and she goes all out to try out any bold look. This year too she did not hesitate to surprise rather shock us with her bold outfit choice. That she took a major fashion risque with this Gaurav Gupta gown would be an understatement but boy did she pull it off !!
Extra Brownie points from FUF just for going all out and experimenting with her look. Kudos!

I would not be completely honest if I said that I luuuved it a lot because I think her Prabal Gurung last year set the expectations very high. However she made heads turn and people gasp with both pleasure and shock. Isn't that the idea??? I remember seeing this dress at Golden Globes and that's why I had to look and re- look at it again.. Ofcourse it was customized for Dips and she sent temperatures soaring but certainly not the best by the gorgeous girl.

Now that I have discussed Deepika..Moving forward to some of my other favorite looks for the evening
Show stealer of the evening Did PC get a new stylist cos if she did, she should stick to this one. Priyanka Chopra hasn't looked this good in a long long very long time. The hair, the accessories and the dress gorgeous. Hail Mcqueen!!

Most Elegant look of the evening Konkana Sen stuck to safe boundaries like she always does but does this gorgeous Rohit Bal makes her look even more prettier than usual. I think she looks extremely elegant.

Mix n Match of the evening Neha Dhupia combined 2 designers Payal Singhal & Anju Modi to give us this Indo Western look and she made it work like she always does.

Best Color of the evening We didn't see much of color on Red Carpet so when Vaani Kapoor made an appearance in this beautiful Aubergine purple Nikhil Thampi, it had a desired impact. Accessorising with golden accessories was a clever idea. I think celebs should take a leaf out of Vaani - Nikhil combo and experiment with colors.

These were some of my favorite looks from the evening. I did not find anyone else worth a mention too. However do let me know what you felt.
Have a great day xxx
