New flat tour: Bathroom
It feels a little strange posting photos of my bathroom, but being a nosy parker myself and enjoying peeking round people's homes, I thought the next instalment of my little
flat tour should include towels, shower heads and
bathroom taps galore.
Having rented oodles of flats over the years, a well-appointed, sparkling clean bathroom (with a good shower) is a definite deal-breaker for me, and I think we definitely landed on our feet with this little room, which although small is beautifully decorated.
This sweet little stone and driftwood hanging garland came from a little shop in Nottingham.
The oyster shell, which is being used as a soap dish, was a remnant from my 30th birthday meal in Rye, which I asked the restaurant to wrap up so I could take them home.
A nice big windowsill is the perfect spot for my succulent collection, and a dish of shells I've collected over the years, topped up with a bag of pretty additions from Dunelm.
The viking duck was a gift from Frank early on in our relationship, which now sits proudly guarding the bath.
And the little blue tit sun-catcher came from a National Trust shop.
One of my favourite things of all is this picture that my sister gave me for my 30th birthday. It's a painting by a local Folkestone artist of the cliffs I grew up seeing every day (we lived right on the top of the cliffs in a village called Capel-le-Ferne).
What does your bathroom look like?
