Incoming trends: the new season’s colour

Colour, colour, always colour. Every season it’s always a matter of colour. Shades, prints and new tones defining and stamping the incoming trends, even before the trends themselves. Indeed, it’s no coincidence that every year is a colour hunt: this winter it’s all about orange, next summer there will be the return of yellow. By the way, you cannot speak about style without mentioning colours and the new winning matches.

And even this season there are interesting newness to deal with. Hues coming and going, among surprises and evergreen, in a lively and varied rainbow of shades.
Prevailing and strong, the pop tones are losing the loud contours of the past seasons to gain a definitely more relaxed allure. Gucci knows it very well, since it is the main representative of this trend, proposing flowing and full monochromes made of a polished elegance that perfectly matches with everything, strengthening the cult for the 60s, so loved this season.

Then, pastel tones give way to the new refined and delicate neutrals, leaving in the closets all the candy and bon ton shades of the past seasons. So, no more sugar pink or cornflower blues: this season clears the way to soft camels, crispy whites and pale pink, with that urban chic taste that is so Parisian and that is perfect in total look or well paired. In any case, the combination is perfect for both a casual style (white jeans or trousers with beige knits) and the new office dress code (a camel suit does its best together with a coat ton-sur-ton, the quintessence of elegance).

Of course, there are always the unfailing evergreen hues. Those colours that, season after season, will always have a key role in everyone’s closet. Reds win over all the other ones and those in the collections of Valentino and Dolce & Gabbana appear as a modern fairy tale when matched with prints or contrasting hues. But even grey has an important role this season, taking the place of the forever black and becoming the it-colour of the season, especially together with a sartorial tailoring (it is sublime on a boyish coat or suit).
Finally, cool new entry for the drinkable tones: from merlot to port and zinfandels, with a strong boho chic taste, that perfectly goes with greens, yellows and all the browns tones, like taught by Burberry that serves them in a triumph of colours.

Colore, colore, colore. Ogni nuova stagione è sempre una questione di colore. Sfumature, stampe e tonalità nuove che definiscono e scolpiscono i trend ancor prima dei trend stessi. Non a caso, ogni anno è caccia al colore di stagione: quest’inverno va l’arancione, la prossima estate torna il giallo.
Fatto sta che non si può parlare di stile senza fare un minimo accenno ai colori e gli abbinamenti che verranno. E anche questo autunno/inverno le novità non mancano. Tonalità che vanno e vengono, tra sorprese ed evergreen, in un arcobaleno vivo e variegato.

Imperanti e importanti, le amate tonalità pop perdono i contorni chiassosi e ingombranti delle precedenti stagioni per acquisire un’allure decisamente più rilassata. Ne sa qualcosa Gucci che si fa portavoce di questa tendenza, proponendo monocromi fluidi e pieni, di un’eleganza pulita che si abbina con tutto, rafforzando il culto degli anni ’60 tanto in voga questa stagione. I colori pastello, poi, cedono il passo ai nuovi colori neutrali, delicati, eleganti e sempre raffinati, lasciando negli armadi le sfumature più candy e bon ton delle scorse stagioni. Niente più rosa confetto, carta da zucchero o lilla: questa stagione largo al cammello, il bianco sporco o il rosa pallido con quel gusto che fa tanto urban chic parigino e che sta bene sia in versione total look che in coppia (ma meglio sempre tra di loro). L’abbinata vincente è comunque perfetta sia per uno stile casual (jeans o pantaloni bianchi con maglie dalle sfumature beige) che per il nuovo office dress code (un tailleur cammello si completa alla perfezione con un cappotto ton sur ton, quintessenza dell’eleganza).

Immancabili, poi, gli evergreen. Quei colori che da stagioni pervadono i nostri armadi e che difficilmente spariranno. I rossi, su tutti, che nelle collezioni di Valentino e Dolce e Gabbana assumono un aspetto da favola contemporanea quando abbinati a stampe o tonalità contrastanti; mentre il grigio prende il sopravvento sul tanto amato nero e assurge a tonalità più chic della stagione, soprattutto quando posato su capi sartoriali (per intenderci, è sublime su un cappotto o un completo dal taglio maschile). Novità curiosa, invece, per i cosiddetti drinkable tones: dal merlot al porto e al primitivo, dal gusto decisamente boho chic, che ben si sposano con i verdi, i gialli e le varie tonalità di marrone, come insegna Burberry che li serve in tavola in un tripudio di colori.
