Still Hanging On

I know I mentioned a couple of posts ago that I probably wouldn't be posting any more summer looks, but the weather has gotten even better so it seems as though there will be a few more to come yet. I am all for fall fashion, but winter lasts so long in Canada that it's nice to get as much out of these warm days as we can. Once the cold hits, it's tights and long pants for about 9 months. The best part is that we can get away without coats for even longer! I mean, coats are great and everything, but they make it almost impossible for a blogger to show off their looks. It becomes all about the coat and those things are not cheap. So yes, I will enjoy these summer looks for as long as I possibly can.
That being said, it is the start of Vancouver Fashion Week today so my looks will probably be changing a bit. Last night was the Opening Gala, which I decided to skip, but I can't wait for the shows to start today. I missed the lovely Olya's presentation last night, but I was lucky enough to get a first-hand look at the collection on Sunday, so I don't mind too much. I seem to have left everything until the super last minute this season, so I don't really have any outfits planned at all. I am also on a bit of a self-imposed shopping ban so this is going to be very interesting. I might just have to make an exception and get one or two things...
Back to the look... I wore this combo on the weekend for a walk and lunch with Ollie. We did a nice long walk along the water and it was such a beautiful day for it. It was actually so hot that I had wished I had worn a tank top!
I don't know about you, but sandals are my ultimate most comfortable choice in footwear. There is something so restricting in closed shoes for me and I usually avoid them all summer long. I do love the look of boots with a mini, but when it comes to comfort -- sandals always win.

I once again tied the plaid top around my waist because I thought it might get a little chilly. Turns out there was no risk of that!
This miniskirt always gets a ton of compliments and I'm still trying to figure out how to transition it into fall. I think I need to find the right sweater to pair it with.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!
Also, don't forget to enter the One Fated Knight leather tote giveaway! You have until the 21st of September, but it's best to enter now so that you don't forget :)
