Simplistic
I love a good clean look. Tuesday was my first day of Vancouver Fashion Week and I decided to go with a completely simplistic style. This has been more my mood as of late and I love the clean lines that a good monochrome look can give. It might not be your typical fashion week outfit, but I feel that the trend lately has gone towards this and I, for one, am happy about it. Today I went quite minimal again, but I still haven't decided what the rest of the week will bring. I should really prepare more for these things!
The key to a good simplistic look is to have clean lines in the items. I love the black trim along the neck and shoulders, it really emphasizes the cut.
I just love the cut of the shoulders on this top -- it is truly is so flattering and a great way to be sexy without having to show much skin at all. As I'm sure you've noticed -- I reserve most skin display for my legs. It's just what I'm most comfortable with.
A good shoe always makes a huge difference to a simple outfit. I love
these ones from Vince and am so happy with this purchase. They can elevate anything from boring to edgy in an instant.
The only jewelry I wore with this look was my
Daniel Wellington watch. The black strap and minimal design couldn't have been more perfect.
Clean and simple makeup is a must as well. You can never go wrong with a cat eye, lots of mascara and a defined brow.
I hope you have an amazing Thursday!
