Grey & Black -- A Love Story

I hope you had an amazing weekend! As I had mentioned on Friday, Ollie and I went over to the island to celebrate my cousin's wedding in Victoria. It was such a blast and it was so great to see them married after 16 years together. I just love their story and I suppose I am a bit of a romantic at heart. I like to pretend like I'm not sometimes, but I just love a happy ending and seeing two people so meant for each other really warms my heart.

For those of you that follow me on Instagram, you might remember me mentioning that I modeled some looks for an event at Nicole Bridger (here). All of the items were so incredibly gorgeous and there wasn't a single thing that I didn't want to run away with.

This dress was actually worn by a different model at the same event, but I just loved it so much that I knew it was the one that was coming home with me.

I love that it can be dressed up or down and it so comfortable that it feels like I'm cheating at life.

And what do we think about this necklace? I've been coveting every single Jennifer Zeuner piece for quite some time and finally got this beautiful one from Shopbop. You might remember that I have wanted a lariat necklace (from this post) and finally decided on this one.

Since I'm quite tall -- this dress is a little shorter on me than it might be on others, so I decided to go with a flat boot for the daytime look. I also think it will be super cute with heels for a night out or tights and knee-high boots for when it gets a bit colder.

For the bag, I could have gone with something bright for a nice pop of color, but I'm really loving the muted total grey and black looks for fall. It's really all that I want to wear at the moment.

I'm positive that it will be too cold to wear this leather jacket any day now, but luckily I can still get away with it! I'm certain you must be sick of it by now, but I just can't get enough. It's not every day that you find a piece that goes with absolutely everything!

The best part about this necklace is the double evil eye pendants. I'm looking forward to it warding off any negative vibes that might come my way. I can always use that!
