Exploring in my Hunters

I hope you had an amazing weekend! I was still pretty sick, so I had quite the lazy one. No adventures like last weekend when we took these photos! But my body was calling for a rest and I was happy to give it one. Lots of movies, take-away pizza and pjs. I wouldn't have gotten out of my pjs at all if I hadn't had to pick up packages and take a couple of photos, but I made the sacrifice for these two brief moments.
These photos were actually from last weekend when Ollie and I were being tourists in our own city. I hadn't posted them yet because of my aforementioned lazy/sickness, but they make me happy just looking at them. Next weekend we'll be heading up to Squamish for a fun day with the Wild & Heart girls so hopefully there will be time for some more exploring then.
On this day, we went exploring around the trails in Stanley Park. There is so much to see and we came across this overgrown and swampy lake.
Even though it wasn't raining, I'm glad I wore my Hunters so that we could go places we usually wouldn't dare to walk.
It was so freezing so a million layers were required. I had a total of 4 layers on top and 2 pairs of socks in my boots. It totally worked to keep the chill off.
The trees are so incredible throughout this park. It's hard to imaging that it is right in the middle of the city.
I love days of exploring like this -- it's when I feel the most free!
Being hands-free is so important for days of exploring. A backpack would be ideal, but a cross-body bag works just as well.
Seriously -- aren't Hunters the best? You can walk right out into the swampy water and not give a second thought to it. I was trying to make friends with the ducks but they weren't having any of it.
I hope you have an amazing Monday and your week is off to a great start! xoxo
