A Pretty Textured Gradient

Pretty Serious gradient ‘Deep Space Destroyer’ and ‘Surfing Alien’

A few weeks ago I lost a huge amount of images of various swatches and nail art designs. There’s no point explaining how, suffice to say that they were completely unrecoverable and I was gutted. One of these was a Pretty Serious textured gradient, which I’ve now replicated.

Normally with gradients I’d apply a base layer of the lightest colour and then sponge a gradient with both colours on the sponge. In the case of textured gradients though, I find that just going straight in with the gradient sponging works well, because they’re thick and obviously very densely packed polishes. Two or three rounds of sponging on each nail does the trick. I always tape around the nails though because clean up is such a pain with textured gradients – it just wants to cling to the skin! These polishes worked perfectly, and I love that the silver particles are in both polishes so the gradient is nice and soft, making the blending of the two a lot smoother with little effort.
