It’s always exciting to see brands collaborate with bloggers because 9 times out of ten you get to see something a bit different. Either a different offering from the brand, or a different perspective on the bloggers’ personalities. These three lovelies are no exception.

WARNING: Picture heavy

If you’ve seen Kristy’s Instagram account you’ll probably agree with me that this polish screams ‘THE POLISH HAVEN’. It’s lovely, gem toned, pretty and flecky goodness that I hoped we’d see from Kristy. I’ve layered one coat over ‘Hell On Wheels’ and also shown it alone with two coats. Pretty Serious ‘Stuck In The Middle’ by The Polish Haven

I’m not sure I’ve done the lovely Mary of Swatch & Learn justice with my photographs of her collaboration shade. Honestly, it’s a peculiar polish. Not in terms of formula, that is as usual delightful, but the complexity is so hard to describe let alone photograph. I love it, and it does shift depending on the light from a murky almost pond-like green to bright flashes as it catches the light. This is one of those ‘you have to try it yourself’ polishes I think. Awesome, but a little odd (in the best ways of course). You can read more about Mary’s inspiration here.

Pretty Serious ‘Swatch & Learn’ by Swatch & Learn

With the aim to create a work-safe polish with a bit more about it, Michelle of Lab Muffin created ‘Undercover Mermaid’. You can read more about her inspiration here.

I first swatched this over ‘Perfection Projection‘ as a bit of a punt, but was amazed at how well suited they are!

Below you can see images where I’ve swapped the ring finder nail for 2 coats alone. It’s got a lovely jelly quality about it that gives a bit more density to the flakes and shimmers, though as a creme lover I do like the solid feel of the layered alternative. Either way, it’s a lovely formula and builds up quickly beyond the first coat.

Overall, a lovely little trio of polishes each with clear evidence of the personalities behind them and all living up to the Pretty Serious standards.
