Vintage Dior: Sparkling Blueberry 979

Dior ‘Sparkling Blueberry 979′

A while ago, Kaz of Pretty Random posted about this magic Dior number. I’d been watching a seller who had a dozen bottles for sale so I felt fairly safe waiting until I was a bit more flushed with cash. Kaz’s post changed all of that though as I saw the number of available bottles plummet overnight (enabler!), so she was awesome and bought me a bottle, and I LOVE it.

I’ve always fancied a bottle of Chanel Ceil de Nuit, but never been of the feeling that I’d stab my own mother for it (which she’d be pleased to hear I’m sure), so I’m really chuffed to have this Dior number. It may not be a dupe (I’m awaiting a comparison post from Kaz, hint hint) but it’s enough for me. Though don’t get me wrong, I would still faint if I saw a bottle of CdN on a car boot sale, and I’d make sure to faint with a deathly tight grip on the bottle.

This is two coats, it does need a generous top coat because it didn’t feel super glossy without. Application was brilliant as you’d expect from Dior, even a vintage bottle. The seller has since listed more, but at an inflated price! I still think $40 (US) is reasonable for something close enough to CdN considering the ridiculous prices that that can fetch, and it’s brand new and boxed too! This is definitely a keeper.
