Övervåningen

Vilken tur att jag fotade övervåningen igår för då har jag något att blogga om här från sängen. Smärtan är tuff men lite bättre än från igår. Hur som helst, vi får många frågor om hur vår övervåning ser ut. Vi bor ju på våningen längst upp men har även en del av vinden till vårt sovrum. Det gör att vårt vardagsrum har sju meter i takhöjd vilket är härligt. Vi fick även höra att råvinden över resten av lägenheten kanske kommer att säljas av föreningen och då ska vi såklart köpa och bygga ut. Idag bor vi på 112 kvm här på Kungsholmen vilket är perfekt för en familj. Får vi ett syskon görs arbetsrummet om till bebisrum. Eller så köper vi mer vind och då kommer alla sovrum upp på övervåningen. Att Odd och jag har sovrummet uppe är inte alls jobbigt, det är inte speciellt jobbigt att ta sig ner till Gillis och vi hör honom bra om det är något oavsett med babylarm eller inte. Det har älskar med vår övervåning ät just hotellkänslan med heltäckningsmatta. Den är allergianpassad och jag har lättare att andas med min astma här än i vår gamla sekelskiftslägenhet där det var svårt att få bort allt damm mellan träplankorna.

I’m so happy that I took pictures of the top floor yesterday so that I have something to blog about now that I’m in bed. The pain is bad but it feels a bit better than yesterday. Anyhow, we get a lot of questions about how our top floor looks. We live on the top floor of our apartment building but we also have part of the attic, so our flat is spread out over two floors. It means that our living room has a seven meter ceiling, which is awesome. We’ve also been told that the rest of the attic might be coming up for sale and in that case we’d love to buy that and extend our fly. At the moment we have 112 square meters which is perfect for a family. If we have another child we can make the study into another bedroom. Or we can buy some of the attic and have all of the bedrooms upstairs. Being on the top floor while Gillis is downstairs has worked really well, it’s super quick to get down to see him and we can hear him really well regardless of whether we’ve got the baby monitor or not. I really love the hotel feeling you get with having carpet. It helps reduce allergies and I find it so much easier to breathe here with my asthma than in our old flat which was from the turn of the century… it was tough to get the dust out from between the floor boards.
