CELEBRITIES AND EYELINER: CAT EYES AS A TRADE-MARK

From Cleopatra’s times on, women have always loved eyeliner, but some celebrities have even turned it into their personal trade-mark. They apply it following a precise and unmistakable style, turning that neat black line into a trait of their own personality.

Marilyn Monroe would have never been the diva among divas without her cat eyes effect eyeliner and the same goes for icons like Brigitte Bardot and Elizabeth Taylor, who have embodied absolute femininity by dictating the rules of style and inspiring thousands of women in time.

As of today eyeliner is still a must for contemporary divas, going from Angelina Jolie to Jennifer Lopez, to Amy Winehouse as well, with her Nefertiti look, and Adele. Women who are all different from one another, but who share the love for that dark line on their eyelids, which can immediately give them a cinematic gaze and magnetic eyes.

And this goes for men, too: how could we not talk about Johnny Depp, and his Captain Jack Sparrow character in Pirates of the Caribbean, Depp wore eyeliner on the set and afterwards even several times on the red carpet, too. Vain is also rock star Keith Richards, lead guitar of the Rolling Stones, with his bistred eyes, and also sexy Jared Leto is apparently following his footsteps.

As you can see eyeliner is not only indispensable, but also democratic, it looks good on everyone. This is the reason why we just can’t do without it!
