Weekend Happenings

A weekend with hardly any plans is rarely something that happens in this household, but when it does…we take full advantage! When I got home from work on Friday, I caught Kevin looking up coupons to our favorite local restaurant, El Torazo. You don’t have to convince me too much for Mexicans and margaritas! (I mean…two for one margs every day of the week. Can’t beat it.)

After stuffing ourselves silly, we stopped by RedBox on our way home and grabbed the movie Prisoners. The only reason why I agreed to that scary movie is because of Jake Gyllenhaal. I feel like him and I are on a first name basis since, you know, I met him walked by him on the street in New York. It was good. Not too scary, but kept us on our toes. It was a great cuddle-up-together-on-the-couch-and-half-watch movie.

I had to go to the Louisville Race for the Cure on Saturday for work, which is always so inspiring. When I got home, Kev and I headed out to the mall to buy a new suit for him. Thank goodness the kind man working there helped us or who knows what size we would have ended up buying. Suit shopping is not my specialty.

We did some window shopping to get Christmas list ideas and I came across these Sperry duck boots that I adore. WANT! The green ones are going on my Christmas list fo sho.

We wrapped up our Saturday by rooting on the Cards. And by “we,” I mean me and Gracie. Because we all know Kevin was suddenly the biggest Giants fan ever. #marriedtoaredsfanprobz

Sunday morning was the best. I slept in and snuggled for quite awhile in bed with my Grace.

And then we hit the road! I successfully ran the longest since July without any shin pain. Woo!

I know it’s only the beginning of the week, but I’m already looking forward to next weekend! We plan on checking out the Louisville Brewfest, we have a gala to attend for my work AND we leave for Asheville for our mini one year anniversary vaca. Woo!
