65 days old.
This week I got my hands on a 50mm 1.8 lens and I am completely obsessed. I can't stop taking pictures of Matilda...as if I wasn't bad enough anyway and it's really renewed my passion for blogging because I'm so much happier with the photos I am taking. I'll probably do a post next week with some of my favourites. Nick and I planned a big wall of photos above our sofa and so far it's not gotten very far but I can see it filling up pretty quickly over the next few weeks. I predict a trip to my favourite Swedish furniture store might be in order to stock up on frames.
This week Matilda has been smiling more and more. She is so happy in the mornings and she loves it when we tell her the alphabet. It really calms her down when she's being fussy...it's amazing what keeps babies happy.
She was also weighed this week and is 10lb 14oz. She is growing nicely but I felt a pang of sadness when I folded up her newborn clothes the other day ready to be packed away. I'm not sure what to do with them yet as we are quite happy with one child and have no plans for another but I don't want to give them away so I'll keep them packed away somewhere safe for now.
