Bevel or Beard? Bevel Woos with a Smooth Face Look

One thing I absolutely love about being in an intercultural, interracial marriage is all the new things I learn being married to my husband. He’s a very interesting dude and his life has been so entirely different from mine, I find it all fascinating.

There are quite a few things we do differently and that I’ve had to learn about along the way. One is definitely personal care. He likes to shower every day and I’m lucky to shower every few. Weird, right?

TOTALLY kidding, I shower, promise.

The differences come in his hair texture & thickness & curliness that I am not entirely familiar with. This might not matter at all except that we have two littles that I have to learn to care for as well. Barber shop days have become a part of our lives, and they’re mostly with dad (it’s like a man’s day) but I’ve had to take them at times too.

However, when we’re in France it’s harder for him to find a barber and he rarely, I mean rarely, shaves his beard. So when Bevel sent me some products to try (for him, obviously) he wasn’t enthused. He tried using a razor like that in high school and the results were not pretty. Razor bumps for days on a 16-year-old – not a good combo.

But Bevel says they’re different. I didn’t have any way to convince him that they were except to just get him to try it. And he’s one stubborn dude, so that was no small feat. I was a bit nervous because what if for some reason it didn’t work? What if the bumps came back? And then it would be all my fault… I don’t like it when it’s my fault. He finally did and you guys — it does work!

The kit came with a razor, blades, brush, priming oil, shaving cream, and restoring balm. All of which we used in the exact order it told us to in the booklet that came with it. We wanted to make sure it was done right!

He actually let me help a little too! Okay, not really, he let me just apply the foam. He didn’t trust me with the razor. I have no idea why not!

I could wax eloquently all day long about how good it was, or how it’s clinically tested and barber approved to reduce and prevent razor bumps and irritation or even that by using Bevel your skin will feel smoother and look clearer in about 4 weeks! But instead, I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

Who says guys don’t make funny faces when they’re getting ready too?

He’s got super coarse, thick hair so he has to pass over the hair a couple times. It also took him a few swipes to get used to the razor because it’s been a while since he’s used one like that. But once he found his mojo, he was good to go.

Can I get an amen? Told you the pictures would do the talking! Smooth as a baby’s bottom, lemme tell ya. And we’re on day 3 and still no bumps. It actually looks like it’s growing in slower too, but that’s just my opinion. Check out this short video we made (yes, my husband makes an appearance!) about our (read: his) experience.

My husband, who was a total skeptic and actually told me that he wouldn’t try it first time around, is now a believer. And seriously, without his beard I think he lost like 10 years or something. I promise he’s 30, I’m not robbin’ the cradle.

Bevel is offering you guys a promo to grab a razor for your man!! It’s the perfect gift for Father’s day or his birthday or just because you love him. Or maybe you just want to drop some hints that you like a smooth face. With Bevel, he’ll catch that hint because ladies – it’s a good look.
