I’m a subscription box junkie. There I said it! I had Birchbox back in the day and the only reason I canceled it was because we moved back to France. I tried Beauty Box 5 and am still using some of what I got in there. I order my hair color to come every 5 weeks or so from Madison Reed and you all know I love me some Stitch Fix! Now? I have seen it around for a while and wasn’t really sure if I’d be that into it. I mean, how many nail polishes can a girl have? Not too many, I know now that’s the answer. Nail polish is something I love but don’t usually buy for myself so I’ve really enjoyed getting these in the mail! So let me tell you a little more about it.

The colors above are all the colors I’ve gotten so far and I don’t know what my favorite is! The other day I got a lot of compliments on the purple I was wearing in this Instagram photo. I love that the nail polishes are non toxic but what I love most of all is how long they last. As I’m typing this, I’m actually wearing another color on my nails, China Glaze. I did them last night and it’s already chipping! I didn’t realize how great Julep is until I changed polishes. I am also wearing Sally Hansen Big Shiny Top Coat which has changed my top coat life, and I’m sure that contributes as well.

Now, let’s talk beauty products. I’ve gotten two different eye liners in my box and I couldn’t be happier. One of them is black on one side and brown on the other and it’s great. I like having the option. Then the next month I got the gel eye liner. It is the best black eye liner I have ever owned and that’s including a Makeup Forever one that I have. It glides on like nobody’s business and lasts all day, completely untouched. It’s amazing. I just can’t figure out how to get more out of it! You can’t sharpen it because it’s not a true pencil, I can’t seem to twist the end of it. I’m hoping they respond to my Instagram because man, I want more!

So, would I recommend Julep Maven subscription box? YES. That’s a solid yes. Someone urged me to try it and I’ll admit, I was hesitant at first. She kept telling me I’d like it and I just wasn’t sure. But I’m officially hooked! I just got my last box and I can’t wait for the next one. It’s so fun to get little surprises in the mail each month! The only down side is that I’m leaving for France in two weeks and I’ll have to cancel it for now. BUMMED.
