5 Tips to Prevent Wrinkles at Night

You might say that I’m mildy obsessed with my wrinkles. Okay, maybe obsessed isn’t the word, but I am often thinking of ways to lessen them, of ways to grow older gracefully. I know I’m going to age, but I want to do is slowly and gracefully. So I try to find every way to prevent wrinkles now so I hopefully won’t pay for it later.

Being married to a super hot black man who doesn’t really look his age doesn’t really help my situation. I mean, the man is hot and barely shows signs of aging. The signs he does show – I rejoice over! Some might call me a hater (him) but I just think it’s just equal opportunity. I mean, I don’t want to look like I’m robbing the cradle for the rest of my life, ya know?

5 ways to prevent wrinkles while you sleep

Think about it – you’re supposed to be sleeping about 6-8 hours a night. That’s 6-8 hours that your skin is needing/taking to rejuvenate. It’s also 6-8 hours to increase wrinkles if you’re not taking care. Put all 5 of these together and you’ll never age!! Haha, just kidding, you might age a tad. But seriously folks, it’ll help! I consistently do all of them but #1 (I start to snore when I do that, and my husband always wakes me up to stop me. Rude.) and I’ve definitely noticed a difference! Check em out!

1.) Sleep on your back!

Super simple, don’t have to buy anything, just sleep on your back! That way your face is wrinkle free & relaxed for 6-8 hours a day! (how many times am I going to say 6-8 hours??) It’s kinda like what your mom used to say to you – if you keep making that face it’ll get stuck like that! Well, it’s sort of true. If you scrunch your face all night, your face will get used to those indentations and eventually start staying like that!

2.) Sleep Naked

If there are any men out there reading this, stop getting ready to forward this post to your wife. I mean you face, your face needs to sleep naked. I‘ve talked about this before, but it’s super important to take all your makeup off at night. Sleeping with a fresh, clean face is definitely a great way to prevent wrinkles at night. I personally use Swisspers and LOVE them. They have a lot of different choices, but each one is soft and sensitive so you’re not doing any extra pulling or harshness when you don’t need to. I also love my oil cleansing method. I can definitely notice a difference when I don’t use it.

3.) Moisturize/Oils

I know everyone’s head of essential oils, they’re all the rage right now. I find them so interesting and wish I knew more. I do know that there are quite a few that are used to prevent wrinkles.

I’ve linked to the ones I can find via the site I use to buy essential oils. I’m an affiliate, so you can use the code NOUVELLE to get 20% if you’d like to try them out! I include Rose Hip Seed Oil (which I bought at Lassesn’s when I was in America), Lavender, Frankincense, to name a few as a part of my skin care regime. I am been thoroughly happy with the way my skin looks from using them. So much better than any face products I’ve ever bought. Apply some essential oils at night, like my DIY eye serum or facial toner, and all night you’ve got these little oil elves working to repair and rejuvenate your skin!

4.) Sleep on Satin

I sleep on my Savvy Sleepers pillow case every night. Not only is it so stinkin’ soft and comfy, it’s actually good for your skin and hair! For your hair it lessens the craziness and stops breakage that cotton does to your hair. As far as your face goes, it’s nice and smooth and your face with slip around more than stay crunched in one spot.

5.) Furlesse

I talked about these a while ago on Facebook, or actually just showed you guys I had them and that I LOVED them. They’re little stickers that you put only our face at night in your trouble areas – for me it’s the elevens (or frownies), rows and sometimes crows feet – and they stop you from wrinkling up your face at night.

YOU GUYS.

I have, hands down, never been so impressed with a product. I have very obviously noticed a difference since using them. See, before hand, I would wake up with a huge 11 in my forehead and I felt so helpless because it just increased and increased every night. Now, with Furlesse, it stops me from frowning all night, which apparently I’m a very sad, worried sleeper. They’re amazing.

I’ve got a little video with everything I’ve talked about. I show you how I do the Furlesse, sleep naked at night, and even my satin pillow – but not the drool spots! Check it out here & subscribe to my channel if you feel so inclined!

Aren’t these some good tips though? I mean, if you do them all, I know that you’ll see some serious reduction in your wrinkles. Night time’s where it’s at people! Gotta fight it while we sleep to prevent those wrinkles.

Would you add anything to the list? Anything I missed? I’d love to hear more tips because you know I’m all about aging gracefully!
