Top 13 products of 2013.

So the new years resolution of three posts a week, 'no excuses' is not going particularly well after an unexpectedly busy week, so I'm unfortunately having to bring my very overdue 'top 13 products of 2013' to you now. 2013 was definitely the year that I went beauty product crazy, in fact I think my makeup collection has probably quadrupled *ashamed face*. So I've tried a lotttt of new stuff but these are the best of the best, the creme de la creme and my ultimate favourites....(I suggest you get a cup of tea, this is going to be a long one!).

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum I find describing scents a bit like describing wine…impossible. There are supposed notes and certain flavours/scents but to me they're just horrible, nice, really nice or oh my god nice and this perfume comes under the fourth category. But, if I was to give a very novice attempt at describing this scent, I'd say its a beautiful floral = musty scent that I’ve worn all year and is a personal fave of mine. It also sticks around for ever which means minimal amounts of top-up. I'm definitely going to repurchase this/shamelessly hint that I want this again for my birthday.
Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo in 'On and On Bronze' This has been one of the greatest blogger favourites of the entire year so I know you've heard rave reviews of this hundreds, if not thousands of times before but if I’ve ever been in an eyeshadow rut this year this has been my never failing go-to. One swipe of this over the lid creates an instantly gorgeous look which lasts all day with no creasing or smudging, a right little champion. If only Maybelline did some more wearable shades.
Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation Dare I say holy grail?! I don’t think I’ve ever found a foundation that I’ve loved as much as this one. It’s on the lighter side of a light-medium coverage, with a satiny glow rather than an over-dewy finish (big plus) and leaves the skin looking flawless without being a great big Mac Studio Finish-esque mask. Another thing that I love about this foundation is the way it glides over the skin, blends like a dream and can be built up to a fuller coverage for long days and nights out. I suggest you give this a great, fat go.

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush in 'Rose Tender'. I’ve not touched this in a few months but back in the summer this was my best friend. A gorgeous little product that has a cream to powder formula which makes it stick to the face when you’re getting a lil bit shiny and also gives a gorgeous summery pink pinch to the cheeks. I know this is coming straight out of the bag again as soon as it hits spring.
MAC Lipstick in 'Morange'. Despite this being just one lipstick, I couldn’t do a favourites without paying homage to this little guy. On countless occasions I’ve done that thing where you stand in front of the mirror and just feel like something is missing and during the summer, this missing thing was Morange. This is possibly my favourite lipstick of all time, just for the fact the shade is blooming gorgeous but the formula itself is also unbeatable.
Bobbi Brown Blush in ‘Nectar’. I haven’t done a favourites post in a while so this gem has not received the attention that it deserves. This has been my autumn/winter staple- providing that perfect 'I just went running in the snow' (or something like that) flush to the cheeks. The blush is super pigmented as well…. desperately need to get some more of these.

Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in 'Candy Apple'. I’m really talking about the Revlon Lip Butters in general here, but Candy Apple has been a personal favourite shade of recent. I’ve rambled like no one has ever rambled before about the Lip Butters but in one scentence: they’re moisturizing, pigmented, have an incredible shade range and are perfect for summer and winter, oh and spring and then autumn….
Barry M ‘Satsuma’ Meet Morange’s long lost cousin. Morange, for your nails basically- enough said. (Oh and the formula is pretty darn great too).

L'Oréal Micellar Water If I was a little more in-the-money, Bioderma may have slightly overtaken this product but with only a (normally) 3 pound price tag this stuff really cuts the mustard. It dissolves your makeup with what feels like water but better and leaves your skin as soft as a Baby’s behind. If you have any make-up removing related woes then get this in your life and you won’t look back…until you come across Bioderma maybe.
Benefit Brow Zings 2013 was a year that I discovered brows. Obviously, they existed to me but for the most part I just kind of left them to do their thing apart from a very slight taming. That was until Benefit Brow Zings entered my life and these don’t just give you brows, they give you BROWS. The two part compact consisting of a gel to set them in place and a powder to fill them in means they not only give you eyebrows to rival Cara Delevignes but they honestly will. Not. Budge.
Real Techniques Buffing Brush This lives up to all the blogger hype. The best foundation brush I've tried that really never fails me. It makes the smallest amount of foundation go a long way and also delivers an unrivalled airbrushed finish. It's also crackin' for applying blush.

Soap and Glory 'Breakfast Scrub' This is my favourite body scrub of all time, it’s not soo soft that it fails to do anything or too abrasive that it actually irritates the skin (I’ve tried plenty of both) but sits perfectly in the middle, leaving your skin smooth and soft. And, have I mentioned how damn gorgeous it smells?!
The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream I have very dry skin so need something ultra heavy in the night but in the morning, the last thing you want to do is get your face all greasy pre-makeup application and this is the perfect answer. It provides just the right amount of hydration needed and sinks into the skin immediately, a big fan indeed.
Woah, so well done to those who made it to the end...are any of these your favourites? Link me to any favourites posts you've done as I would loveee to read them.
