Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans

The streets are always filled with inspiration.

In downtown Isla Mujeres, you can find the Sea Walls project, a series of fifteen murals created by renown street artists to raise awareness for the conservation of marine life. The murals all depicts whale sharks and/or stingrays. Whale sharks are one of the world’ most magnificent creatures and they migrate to the coasts of both Cancun and Isla Mujeres. Swimming with them is on the very tip top of my bucket list! I love that such a creative project is used to bring attention to ocean conservation and ecotourism. We had a chance to check out some of the artwork via golf cart around town. Here’s a few snaps of the Sea Walls project.
