8 Things Every Happy Woman Should Have: Amanda

Photographer and stylist Amanda Marie Lackey always puts a smile on our faces! Whether it's her stunningly romantic engagement and wedding photography or styled shoots, Hailing from Texas, Amanda has a keen eye for bringing out the loveliness in everything she snaps a photo of. From her charming style to her drive to live beautifully, we are so lucky to call this talented gentle heart a Ruchette! We can't wait to see the world through Amanda's lens when she takes over our Instagram this weekend. To get to know her a little more, we asked her a few questions to get a peek into her world:

1. A go-to drink.
Sweet Tea. A true sign that I’m a Texas girl!

2. A go-to Karaoke song.

3. A uniform.
A simple statement dress that can be paired easily by throwing on a denim jacket, flats or wedges (depending on the day)

4. A hair stylist they love.
Lauren Conrad’s YouTube how-to videos all the time

5. An exercise routine.
P90X3. The best 30 minutes of the day. I also love to throw in hot yoga during colder months.

6. A hobby.
More like ‘hobbies’… Interior decorating, going to my parent’s ranch house to escape from the everyday, brunching, hunting for great books, writing and singing music with my husband and dreaming of traveling the world together.

7. A best friend.
My best friends are forever best friends. They’re the kind where we could go months without talking, and we’ll pick back up right where we left off. Those types of friendships are a sisterhood I love so much!

8. A healthy sense of self.
The older I become the more I realize the healthiest sense of self isn’t really about myself at all. It’s about the way I love others. The best way to fill myself up is to love selflessly. And of course… I take all the coffee and lazy Sundays I can get!
