Ruchette of the Month: Sometimes Gracefully

Happy October, Ruchettes! We're so excited to kick off the month with Grace of Sometimes Gracefully, our Ruchette of the Month! This Minneapolis local is simply darling. Along with an impeccable sense of style, Grace's too cute relationship with her husband, Darrin (seriously. they are perfect!) and her excellent taste in all things culinary make us come back to her blog each and every day! A lover of traveling abroad and exploring her local city, we adore watching Grace make the most of each day and her appreciation the little things that make life beautiful. Get to know Sometimes Gracefully!

Describe your style in 5 words.
Classic with a little spunk.

What is your go-to outfit for a casual day?
A comfy pair of jeans, a cozy sweater, warm socks, and a boot with a little heel. Here in Minne-snow-ta, we take our cozy and warm fashion pieces very seriously. ;)

You currently reside in Minneapolis with your husband, Darrin. If we had one day to explore your city, where would you take us?
Oh, there are so many beautiful parts of Minneapolis! First, we’d grab a “Spygirl Latte” from Spyhouse Coffee in Northeast Minneapolis (high fives for espresso, honey, and lavender!). Then, we’d take our coffees to-go and head down to the Stone Arch Bridge for a beautiful view of the St. Anthony falls and the Minneapolis skyline. After picking up a few items for lunch at the Mill City Farmer’s Market, we’d head back to my tiny apartment and do some cooking while jamming to the Spice Girls and other guilty pleasure music. Later, we’d head downtown to the charming shops along Nicollet Avenue, share a glass of happy hour wine overlooking the city at the Union Rooftop, and end our day with an evening show at the Orpheum Theatre! We’d be busy, and that itinerary doesn't even come close to covering all the fun things to do in Minneapolis!

We know blogging requires a lot of time and effort. How do you stay inspired?
Blogging is most certainly my creative outlet! And I try to let the parts of life that I would normally consider boring or mundane inspire me. Approaching those moments or events from a different perspective can really make you appreciate the “little things” in life. And why not write about that newfound perspective and appreciation?

Are there any trends for the upcoming colder seasons you're looking forward to?
Yes! Boots! It can be so difficult to wear boots in the summer (Leg sweat? No thank you), so I’m a major fan of the fall/winter boot trend! I’m also loving the greys that are appearing for these chillier seasons. Grey is such a great and versatile color!

Quick Fire!
Silver or gold? Gold!
Sequins or embroidery? Embroidery!
Heels or flats? Heels!
Cats or dogs? Dogs!
You can't leave your house without... a hair tie to pull my hair up! I’ve always got one hidden somewhere at the bottom of my purse for those what-in-the-world-is-my-hair-doing-right-now moments!

We always do our best to encourage Ruchettes to #LiveBeautifully. What does living beautifully mean to you?
For me, to live beautifully means to laugh often and love always. Life is short, so I try to remind myself not to miss an opportunity to love others and spread joy.

Last but not least, what is your favorite thing about being a Ruchette?
Ruche offers wardrobe pieces that fit so many different personalities and lifestyles! I’m constantly gushing over the pretty lookbooks, new arrivals, and creative styles from other Ruchettes. I love that I can find beautiful outfits for both a lazy afternoon at the park and a busy day at the office in one place. Ruche promotes creativity, personal style, and femininity so positively, and I’m happy to join the Ruchette community! :)

Are you swooning over Grace as much as we are? Don't forget to see more of her wit and style on her blog, and be sure to stop by her Instagram to follow her day to day adventures! You can see past Ruchettes of the Month here.
