• A little too much fun! Chicago Tribune reports that 2 suites in Soldier Field that was “vandalized” over this past weekend’s Bears Family Fest will be ready for game day. A vandal, who was later caught, tried to light one of the suite rugs on fire(it was fire resistant) and smeared condiments all over. Sounds like someone had one too many fireball shots. • Chicago Culinary Museum and Chefs Hall of Fame has inducted 5 news chefs reports DNAinfo. Former Top Chef winner and Girl & Goat’s own Stephanie Izard was named “Chef of the Year” along with “Industry Leader” Phil Stefani, “Industry Legend” Larry Levy, “Pastry Chef of the Year” Gale Gand and “legendary chef” Michael Kornick. NATIONAL NEWS

• Hawaii is anticipated to get its first direct hit from a hurricane in 22 years. Hurricane Iselle and Hurricane Julio.

WORLD NEWS

• Russia is really upping this ante in this passive aggressive fight with the US. Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor that leaked a plethora of high level security information that snowballed into a whole heap of trouble, has been granted 3 more years stay in Russia. He has yet to receive political asylum, which would allow him to stay indefinitely according to reports. (TIME)
• Eddie Redmayne as Stephen Hawking. The new film “Theory Of Everything” will focus on the point in Stephen’s life when he fell in love with his first wife Jane Wilde and his motor neuron disease diagnosis at age 21. (EONLINE)

SPORTS

• The Chicago White Sox fell to the Texas Rangers 3-1.
• Looking like Lebron’s papi in his mug shot, USA Today reports that Greg Oden was arrested for allegedly assaulting a female in Lawrence, Ind. Police “observed blood, swelling to the nose, lacerations to the forehead and nose area of the victim’s face,” according to the report. They also “observed blood on the sofa and floor in the sitting area. (They) observed (blood) on the living room carpet (and) dirt from a flower pot that was knocked over.” (USATODAY)

CELEBRITIES

•It has been reported that Giorgio Armani will suit up George Clooney when he marries Amal Alamuddin. WWD reports that the Sept. 20 wedding will take place in Venice. No word yet on what designer the bride will wear. (WWD)
• Living the Princely way? Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, is the first royal to sign a job contract and pay income tax(daaaang!). He will start a new job following a six-month training session. The job? An air ambulance pilot for the East Anglian company. The pay? £40,000 which is about $67,326.6 will all go to charity.

FASHION

• Vanity Fair Magazine’s annual International Best Dressed list is out and some of our favorite stars that ruled this past season’s red carpet and events made it. (VANITY FAIR)
• The new supers may be avatars? Vogue UK reports that research led by two scientists at Manchester Metropolitan University, have shown that “the techniques used to produce the avatar could have applications within a range of disciplines, including performing arts, sports and fashion.” This may not translate into real life because let’s face it, the best part about fashion shows are the gorgeous leggy models.
