Emerald Gold From Pixi Beauty
This is my first chance getting to try some eyeshadows from Pixi Beauty, and I gotta say I am liking what I see so far! Emerald Gold has 6 shimmery shades and comes in a sturdy plastic palette with a sponge tip applicator. I didn’t try the applicator, because I am someone who prefers to apply with a brush. From top to bottom I would describe them as:
- Light yellow with gold pearl
- Light mint green
- Medium coppery brown
- Light golden mocha
- Medium emerald green
- Medium to dark coppery brown
The first two shades go on a bit sheer, so I feel like they are better suited for highlighting. The others have deeper pigmentation and look lovely on the lid. I had no issue with application or blending. Staying power was really good. I wore these shadows for at least 8 hours and didn’t experience any color fading. I did not experience creasing, but I do have oily lids so I did use a primer as I usually do.
I love how well the colors work together here. You can almost create a whole look with it, but my own personal preference is for a matte shade or two to tone down all the shimmer. Overall I am pretty impressed with the quality in this palette.
