Ultra Deep Pore Cleansing Strips

So on top of being someone who has to work hard (and often fails) at trying to keep breakouts at bay, I also have to deal with very persistent blackheads. I won the genetic roll of the dice y’all! :/

I have tried Biore strips in the past, and honestly they didn’t do a single thing. I have followed the directions and even looked online first to see if there were any tips or pointers I could use to get the most out of them, but nope I was doing everything right and nothing happened. So I gave up on them, and never thought about them again.

I read on a blog recently (kicking myself for not bookmarking the post), that the Asian version of this was much better and much more effective at pulling out blackheads. I can’t find them locally or online, but I did read that the Ultra Deep Pore Cleansing Strips were very close in terms of quality with the Asian brand. When I saw these on the shelf I immediately grabbed them to try at home.

These look and work just like the regular strips. The only difference is when they dry. When dry they feel thicker and harder than the regular strips. I was super excited to peel this off and see what it pulled out. I gently peeled it back hoping to finally see the little forest of blackheads you expect, but even with this I only saw two or three blackheads removed compared to the zero I see with the regular strips. I was so disappointed. I tried these on my teenage son as well hoping to see if maybe it was just me, but it didn’t work for him either.

I know some people get great results from these, but I think I am just not someone who is a good match for pore strips.
