I live in a contemporary home, which my friends jokingly call "The White House" as the colours and tones are almost entirely white. So when my parents and in laws decided to downsize their homes and pass on their collection of old books to me, I wondered what I would do with them as they didn't exactly fit our decor!

Yet the look and feel of an old book just fills my heart with delight, so it was not long before I found ways to line my stark white bookshelves with little touches of nostalgia, which bring part of my families history alive and into our everyday living.

I love my MacBook Air and have even succumbed to using a kindle, but nothing will replace a lovely old book in my heart or home.
