Blue Moon Cafe Coming to Federal Hill

Social media was buzzing on Thursday, March 27th when Blue Moon Cafe announced on Facebook they would be opening a second restaurant in Federal Hill. Famous for their Captain Crunch French Toast and appearances on Diners, Dives and Drive-ins, the popular cafe will be opening at the former Ope’s Laundromat at 1024 Light St. They are hoping to open by August 10th. From an article in the Baltimore Sun:

“It will be exactly the same Blue Moon,” owner Sarah Simington said. “With the same rock-and-roll brunch we’ve been doing for 18 years in Fells Point.”

As in Fells Point, the location at 1024 Light Street (a former laundromat) will keep late hours on weekends, staying open continuously from Friday breakfast to Sunday evening.

Federal Hill could be gaining another new restaurant as The Ritz Carlton Residences at 801 Key Hwy. has a hearing on Thursday, April 3rd for a liquor license transfer under the trading name Sip Wine. The restaurant would be the second business in the complex, joining Baltimore Spa and Salon.

Renovations for Rite Aid

The Rite Aid at Southside Marketplace has recently undergone an extensive facelift, which includes a completely new layout for the store, plus new flooring and aisles, the addition of a large new refrigerator, a redesigned pharmacy, and more.

ZeroFox Expands

ZeroFox, formerly Riskive, a cybersecurity startup founded in 2013 with offices at 1111 Light St., is opening two new offices, one in San Francisco and one in New York, and potentially one in Dallas. From Technical.ly Baltimore:

That, really, is the need for satellite offices north of Baltimore and on the west coast.

Foster said ZeroFox plans to keep its headquarters in Baltimore city, where it employs around 36 people full-time. He anticipates ZeroFox doubling in size this year, as well as opening another office, possibly in Dallas, this summer.
