New Signs on Light Street

Light St. restaurants Federal Hill Carryout and Rowhouse Grille have recently put up new signs (see pictures below).

Under Armour Increases Presence

Locust Point’s Under Armour is climbing world and U.S. rankings with a brand value of $4.1 billion in 2014 according to Forbes. It is the fifth most valuable sports brand in the world. It also passed Adidas with a 20% increase in sales in the U.S. to become the second largest sport apparel brand nationwide with sales of $1.2 billion.

In addition, Japan’s Keio University lacrosse team scrimmaged U.S. lacrosse teams least week, including Towson University and UMBC, and the team was outfitted in Under Armour uniforms.

Planet Beach Tanning Closes

Planet Beach Tanning at 37 East Cross St. closed. A sign on the door reads, “Store Closing Today! Thank you to all of our customers for a great 10 years.”

Charm City Yoga and The Healing Path also recently left the upstairs suite of the same building, relocating to new properties in Federal Hill. The unit block of East Cross St. north of the market has undergone several changes lately with the announcement of The Local Fry, as well as the opening of Bookmakers and Unleashed by Petco.
