The Perfect Summer Scent – Cali Blue Parfum Oil

When you think about the summer, what comes to mind? Barbecues? Lounging by the pool? Vacationing with your family?

When you think about the SCENTS of summer, what do you think of? Flowers? Salty ocean air? Sunscreen? Roasted marshmallows?

Isn’t it amazing how a certain scent can transport your mind to another place and time? Take for example Coppertone sunscreen. It could be the dead of winter and if I get one whiff of Coppertone I instantly think of the beach, even if it’s snowing outside. My husband is the same way. In fact my husband has been known to rub a little Coppertone on his wrist just so he can smell it from time to time. He loves how it reminds him of the beach and he finds the scent relaxing like a lazy summer day on the beach.

There is another scent that also makes me think of the beach. It’s called Cali Blue. It’s made by Aroma Earth.

According to the Aroma Earth website;

Cali Blue has a citrus medley of natural lemon, orange, mandarin and bergamot in the top-note, a floral bouquet of lily, lavender, rose and a whisper of night blooming jasmine in the middle, and an ambery, vanilla, musky sage-like base-note. The combination is a clean, beachy fragrance, reminiscent of spending vacations at the shore…

Its sounds dreamy, doesn’t it?

Aroma Earth was kind enough to send me one of their Cali Blue Parfum Oil in an easy to use roll on bottle. I like the roll on dispenser. It’s small and easy enough to carry around in a purse or tote bag. You also don’t have to worry about any spilling out since the roller ball keeps the liquid in place.

When I initially put Cali Blue on it didn’t remind of of the beach, but it does have a pleasant scent. After about a minute the scent changes. When it changes it DOES remind me of the beach. I even asked my husband to smell it and let me know what he thought about it. Without knowing the scent he said it reminded him of the beach or like something you’d smell in the clothing store Hollister. It’s kind of funny that he mentioned that store specifically. If I’m not mistaken Hollister is supposed to be inspired by life in Southern California.

Don’t get me wrong – the scent does not smell like Hollister cologne – my husband simply implied that is smells like a scent you’d find in such a store.

The scent lasts a long time on your skin too. You can also smell it around you. Some scents you have to practically put your nose on it to smell it. Not Cali Blue. People around you can smell it with no problem.

In addition to Cali Blue I also received to review Aroma Earth’s scent Faithful and another scent called Summer Bliss.

As per the Aroma Earth website in regards to the Faithful Essential Oil Perfume;

Our beautiful new perfume made with natural essential oils! A lovely blend of lemon, bergamot, orange, ylang ylang, with a base of vanilla. Blended with sweet almond oil and vitamin e.

This scent was just OK. I wasn’t overwhelmed by it. It’s not a bad scent. It’s just an OK scent for me. I prefer Cali Blue much more than this scent.

Faithful reminds me of something but I have yet to pinpoint what the scent reminds me of. The scent also doesn’t seem to last as long as Cali Blue does.

I also received Summer Bliss to try out and review.

I asked my husband to tell me the first thing that came to mind when he smelled Summer Bliss. The first words out of his mouth was “Creamsicle”. He said the perfume reminds him of that classic summer time treat – orange Creamsicles.

After my husband told me that I smelled the perfume again and sure enough, that is exactly what it smells like. Its probably because it’s made with orange and vanilla.

Summer Bliss is a fun scent. I think teens would like this scent just as much as adults. There is a “youthfulness” about it.

Aroma Earth sells the roll ons for $17.50. In terms of perfumes and fragrances this is a great price. Not only that the roll ons last a very long time because you only need a few rolls on your pulse points.
