Sunday afternoon we headed off to the beach with Kyle's new birthday present - a White's metal detector. For this outing, I chose to bring only one camera and one lens. This is a foreign concept for me since I tend to drag my entire arsenal of gear with me and never use it all. My husband actually laughed at me and said I looked like I was leaving my babies home alone.
So here starts my "journey of enlightenment"... lightening up my load and spending more time with just one lens at a time.
The photos shown here are from the new
Olympus 15mm f8.0 Body Cap Lens on the OM-D.
. While we didn't find any Spanish Doubloons, I did find a little treasure in this lens.
With no electrical contacts, this is a plastic body cap and lens in one. It simply has a lever that can be moved from infinity to 1'. While it is very similar to the results I have gotten with my Plastic Holga lens for Micro 4/3rds, I find the quality of the photos to be much better and the vignetting to be more subtle.
For $49. It's a fun little lens to add to your collection.
