Ingredients For the Chilies
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 egg whites, whipped
  • vegetable oil
  • 10-12 Fresh Green Chiles, roasted, peeled with stems still attached
For the Dipping Sauce
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions For the Chilies 1. Combine the flour, salt, and baking soda in a large bowl 2. Add the water and mix well 3. Carefully fold in the whipped egg whites 4. Heat oil in a large skillet or deep fryer over medium high heat 5. Dip each green chile into the batter 6. Fry each chile until golden brown, turning occasionally
7. Serve with the dipping sauce For the Dipping Sauce 1. Combine the teriyaki, honey and green onions 2. Serve at room temperature
