On the Set of Rizzoli & Isles

Who's excited for the return of Rizzoli & Isles? I am! To kick off the upcoming fifth season, the show was awesome enough to arrange an on-set happy hour for the cast, along with a small group of media. Such a cool, intimate experience!

Angie Harmon (Detective Jane Rizzoli), Sasha Alexander (Dr. Maura Isles), Jordan Bridges (Frankie Rizzoli Jr.), and Bruce McGill (Detective Vince Korsak) were all there to talk with us, pose for pictures, and let us check out the "Boston PD".

I attended the event with Kate of Nautical By Nature and we had a blast talking with the stars. They were all so kind and approachable. Angie Harmon retweeted my tweet after the event, Sasha Alexander made it a point to ask every person what outlet they were from, showing her interest in us, Bruce McKill had us laughing at his playful attitude, and Jordan Bridges walked up to us as we were taking set pictures and asked if he could take a selfie with us...um, YES!

In addition to the set visit, I was also able to watch the first two episodes of the season that were complete with mysterious cases, awkward relationships, and secrets. Be sure to have your tissues ready because the second episode is a farewell to Lee Thompson Young (Detective Barry Frost). They wrote the actor's unfortunate death into the show in a tasteful manner providing a really touching tribute.

Also in the mix for this season is a new love interest for Maura (sadly it's not Frankie!), Jane's secret pregnancy, and a lot of criminal busting. You won't want to miss the return next week. And if you've never watched, there's no better time because you can easily pick it up.
