This is what happens when I'm home alone, on a Saturday night, and getting excited about Halloween. (Edit: this makeup is for Dia De Los Muertos, a holiday/tradition which falls around the same time as Halloween and I don't mean to confuse the two!) I used
Ben Nye Clown White for the face, and a mixture of some liquid liners and a couple of shadows from the
Urban Decay Vice palette. It's definitely not perfect, but it was my first attempt, which is why I didn't pair it with a tutorial. With the right brushes and a few different products, the next one will be much better! I do have a few Halloween tutorials coming for you, so keep an eye out.
Here's a couple of tips, and what I will change for next time:
1) Ben Nye's Clown White is not like a Chromacake (which are water activated). Mixing medium only broke it down, and the consistency is very thick and kind of dry. To get it to go on smoothly, I heated it up with a blow dryer, and applied with a foundation brush. Make sure to use primer, first - it helps a lot.
2) I was lazy and didn't bother finding my detail brush, which would have been very helpful. Instead, I used the felt tip brushes that came with the liquid liners, which I hate. This made my lines a little streaky and imperfect.
