Gadget: Clarisonic Aria

Nothing really cleanses my skin quite as well as a Clarisonic device.

So if you’ve been reading the Beauty Gazette, you would know that I’ve roadtested the Mia 2 (two speeds) as well as the Plus (three speeds for face, and one body mode) .

And I will just say that the Aria is my favourite.

It has three speeds.

The handle is just nice in length and easy to hold.

I find the Mia 2 handle a little too short (but the size makes it handy for travelling), while the Plus is a little too heavy and bulky.

Inside the package, you’ll find a sturdy docking station, USB charger and a wall adaptor, and a sample-sized Refreshing Cleansing Gel (not pictured).

So just to recap what Clarisonic does for my skin:

- makes it clearer, brighter

- allows better penetration of my skincare

- no flaky skin

- slightly tighter pores

However, I know of people who breakout after using Clarisonic, so use with care.

Start with the lowest speed and gentlest brush head (the Aria set comes with the one suited for sensitive skin).

You don’t have to place the brush against the skin for any longer than is comfy for you. There is no need to wait for it to stop before you feel like you’re done cleansing.

To save money, you could always share a set with your siblings or partner, or parents even. For hygiene purposes, just attach your own brush head when using it.
