Spas in Bali: Bali Botanica Day Spa review

Of all the spa treatments we tried in Bali in the past week, this was the most affordable.

Located in Ubud, it is a no-frills spa.

A small reception area.

I was brought through a small lane, into a garden and a house.

And finally, into a simple room that opens into plenty of greenery.

This spa is famous for its full-day treatment that lasts between 7 to 8 hours for 995,000 rupiah before tax.
It even includes lunch at the nearby Bridges restaurant.

But I would recommend this only if you have plenty of time on your hands, and do not mind spending an entire day in a spa when there are so many other things to see and do in Ubud.

Hubs and I tried the Ayurvedic Chakra Dara Massage, 495,000 rupiah for 150 mins.

The therapists were seasoned so they could zoom in on my points of tension and knots, and the chakra points.

The massage is done with a warm oil that is drizzled on the body; and the warmth loosens and relaxes the muscles for a very soothing treatment.

The session was completed with a warm oil drizzled from a funnel onto my forehead for 15 minutes, which left me calm and warm.

If you like Ayurvedic massages, this place is for you.

The price points at Bali Botanica are reasonable, plus we were transported to and fro our hotel.

If I had more time, I would definitely go for the Ayurveda massage at least one or two more times.
