I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about whether or not I plan to sell my quilt patterns. While I’m not planning to sell any of the patterns I use in the shop just yet, it has stirred a different idea.
Announcing a new series: pixel pattern. Every week or two, I’ll simplify a photograph into pixels to create a FREE quilt pattern available to you. This series was actually one of my written resolutions this year, and I’m really excited about it. If it’s an idea you’re excited about, too, be sure to comment or email to let me know, just to make sure I stay motivated ;)
And now, for the first installment:
This week I took a simple picture of a branch. Pretty, huh?! With a pattern as simple and abstract as this, you could have a lot of fun with color!
Get creative. You don’t need to feel restricted to quilting with these patterns. Paint, hama beads, cross-stitch, the list goes on. And the pattern is yours for the taking.
