One of My Favorite Cleaning Secrets
Come close ladies, I want to tell you one of my favorite cleaning secrets.
Now, you know, I’m a thoroughly modern woman. I believe a marriage is an equal partnership. There are no his and her jobs — except maybe for killing spiders! I believe in an equal division of labor when it comes to household chores.
But over the last six months, I’ve discovered a secret weapon that makes my husband happily take on more of the housekeeping.
But this — our Miele vacuum, which I received when I became a blog ambassador for the company.
I’ve spent the last six months extolling the virtues of Miele vacuums — a product I truly do believe in and that I recommend wholeheartedly.
But it’s not Miele’s superior cleaning performance or durability or even the fact that it cleans the air in your house, not just the floors, that has turned me into a brand evangelist.
Nope. It’s the fact that the vacuum has turned this man into a cleaning machine. No wonder J.D. Power & Associates has ranked Miele’s canister and upright vacuums highest in customer satisfaction two years in a row. What’s not to love?
After six months of messes — and trust me, we make a lot of them — my husband loves any excuse to haul out our vacuum.
Men love to vacuum with a Miele. Probably because the vacuums are sleek and well-engineered, just like a sports car. They corner like a dream and the engine is so quiet, but powerful. The Miele makes good time — you don’t have to spend time idling over the same patch of carpet to get it clean. One pass, and it’s done.
Why, yes dear, the van could use a good cleaning.
You want to vacuum up all the glitter in the living room?
If you insist, feel free to vacuum the bedroom.
I guess the couch cushions could use a good vacuuming. Legos, crumbs, lost civilizations — who knows what you’ll find in there!
And while you have the vacuum out, you might as well do the rest of the room.
I’m telling you, ladies, invest in a Miele, and you may never have to vacuum again!
Seriously, we love this vacuum and we would definitely buy another Miele vacuum to keep our house clean. (And if we ever embark on a kitchen renovation, Miele appliances will be the first things I buy.)
