Casual Cosplay: The TARDIS
I love the idea of putting together outfits based on different fandoms and characters. But since I lack the budget to do such things on a regular basis, I live vicariously through Polyvore, putting together outfits based on movies, books, video games, etc.
Keeping with the Doctor Who theme this week in honor of the series 8 premier this weekend, this edition of Casual Cosplay is inspired by the TARDIS.
I chose a t-shirt and jeans to keep the outfit casual since it’s for watching the season premier in. I don’t know about you, but I like to be as comfy as possible when watching TV, and I’m always cold so a cardigan was a must. The t-shirt has a window pane pattern to represent the windows of the TARDIS and the cardigan is the perfect shade of TARDIS blue. The converse are an homage to the 10th Doctor and their galaxy print along with the sparkly nail polish bring in the space traveling element. The headband/wrap has TARDISes (TARDIS'?) printed all over it and the Doctor Who inspired brass ring and necklace go nicely with the yellow and gold hues in the exploding TARDIS purse.
