Bright Colorful Whimsical Christmas Mantel and Argyle Wreath

I made this bright, colorful, whimsical Christmas mantel and argyle wreath last year. I was so busy with my new job as an early childhood teacher that I never got around to writing up a post about it. It was such a colorful fun mantel I just had to share it with y’all this year!

Remember this Fall Mantel?

Well, I painted over the board for my Christmas mantel.

Then I added some glittery ornaments I found at Walmart, a small felt bunting banner, yarn wrapped pom pom Christmas trees, a yarn wrapped argyle Christmas wreath, yarn garland, glittery snowflakes, Christmas tree candles, a wire wrapped Christmas tree and a Santa and Alice picture.

The yarn wrapped pom pom Christmas trees were easy to make and SO CUTE!

The yarn and felt argyle Christmas wreath is my favorite! I love the bright fun colors.

I loved the traditionally colored Argyle Christmas wreath I made the year before and thought to make a bright fun colorful one in non-traditional Christmas colors.

I made felt diamonds, wrapped over in turquoise yarn then added felt rosettes in coordinating colors and a few ice crystallized red berries.

Isn’t it so much fun? Do you decorate in traditional Christmas colors or do you like to venture outta the box and go for something a little different?

The year before I went with a very traditional Christmas mantel.

I love it, I do, but the next year I thought to go with some whimsical bright fun colors and my family and my baby girl loved it!
