Hush is what we think to be a Maltese-mix. He showed up in our yard during a storm and flood last September. Over the following weeks, we posted signs and walked him all over the neighborhood in search of his owner. After zero responses, Hush became ours. Alice, my five year old daughter, named him Hush because he likes to “YAP”!
Now, I am not a dog person. I was the owner of a cat that I loved and cared for from the time he was 6 weeks old until he passed away a just few months after Hush became a part of our family. Our cat Gizmo was nearly 20. You can imagine how devastating this was to me and our family, but Hush was a sweet comfort to all of us and continues to be so.
As a new dog person, I’m still learning what dog are like and how they eat. It still feels weird to pour out the drained tuna water instead of giving it to my Giz. Hush is a VERY finicky eater. He mostly likes scraps and moist dog food. I’m pretty excited about taking this 28 day challenge with Hush for one because he actually LIKES this food. He eats it!! Until now, he would be quick to snub dry kibble type food.
For the 28 day challenge we are hoping to see an increase in energy, a shiny nice coat and better dental health. Day 1 was a hit, he ate the food, which I said before he NEVER does.
