Milani Violet Volt Color Statement Lipstick Review

I’m really loving Milani’s Color Statement lipsticks! Violet Volt is one of the latest additions to my collection and it’s definitely keeping the love affair going. It’s such a beautiful lipstick!

Violet Volt is a bright metallic violet that would look great on an array of skin tones. The pigmentation is perfect as it applies very opaque in just one swipe. Violet Volt has a strong watermelon scent like the rest of the Color Statement lipsticks I’ve tried but I’m pretty used to it now. It applies smoothly and feels creamy but the metallic finish gives it more of a dry look. I didn’t find Violet Volt to feel drying (or moisturizing like other shades I’ve tried) but it definitely doesn’t give that wet, juicy look like my other frosty fave, Viva Glam Rihanna. I still really dig the color and metallic sheen though! Violet Volt wears comfortably for a nice 4-5 hours before I notice any fading. It stains pretty nicely after it’s faded with no feathering or bleeding so it doesn’t look icky as it wears off. I simply adore how well Violet Volt wears and lasts for a drugstore lipstick! It’s a very impressive lipstick for a mere $6!
