Chanel Blending Foundation Brush #7 Review

Building a brush collection is like building an army. You want to pick the most efficient soldiers who can get the job done and hold up well over the years. I’m no stranger to affordable brushes but it’s good to splurge on the staples every now and then. Some higher end brands use more expensive materials and techniques to ensure that your favorite brush lasts you a lifetime. So wouldn’t you rather arm yourself with tools that’ll stick around?

Chanel makeup brushes are a bit pricey but the quality is definitely there! The Blending Foundation Brush #7 will set you back $54 but it’s actually more of an investment than a splurge. It has a short, lightweight black plastic handle with a long, shiny silver ferule. I’ve owned the Blending Foundation Brush #7 for about a year now and it has held up very nicely. I haven’t experienced much shedding and the handle is still firmly attached to the ferrule. I have no doubt it’ll hold up for a few more years with proper care.

The Blending Foundation Brush #7 has a duo fiber design consisting of both natural and synthetic bristles. The mix of bristles makes it a heavyweight multitasker as it can take on powders, creams and liquids with ease. Plus, the bristles are very, very soft. The Blending Foundation Brush #7 feels amazing on the skin!

The brush head is a little on the small side but it’s still big enough to apply foundation to all face sizes. It works well with my small face to apply foundation, blush and highlight. It picks up just the right amount of product and pigment while blending flawlessly. I hate that the Blending Foundation Brush #7 is so expensive but I don’t regret buying it at all! It’s very versatile and the quality is superb. Now, I don’t recommend running out and breaking the bank on a new set of brushes. However, I do recommend saving up a few pennies to add a Chanel brush to your artillery. You’ll definitely feel the luxury!
