My Favorite Easter Eats

This will be the first Easter in a whole lot of Easters that I won’t be celebrating (and eating and egg-hunting) with my family. While my solo celebration will most likely include a weird amount of these chocolate Cadbury candies (help!), I thought I’d dig through the archives for a few Happy Easter recipes that might brighten your weekend.

Happy weekend and Happy Easter, my friends! I hope there’s sunshine, love, family, quiche, and so much chocolate (like so so much).

Let’s just go ahead and Hot Cross everything in sight. Tis the season, right?

Hot Cross Biscuits. No yeast fuss. Extra currants.

For more tradition Hot Cross Buns, I think these from Emma Eats are just lovely!

If you’re thinking about an after church Brunch to celebrate Easter, I hope you’re also thinking about scones.

Lavender Blackberry Scones and Blueberry Maple Biscuits.

I’m buying a watermelon AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to make this Strawberry Watermelon Citrus Sangria. It’s beyond.

If watermelon escapes you, this Strawberry Rhubarb Sangria would be a most excellent conciliation prize.

Easter weekend is a good time for a cocktail. In between the quiche and chocolate. You know…

Cucumber Gin Salt and Pepper Cups are supreme if you’re looking for something not so fruity and sweet.

Pick your poison (not literally): Strawberry Rhubarb Crumb Pie or Roasted Strawberry Buttermilk Cake.

There’s also this Gluten-Free Strawberry Ginger Pie.

Point is… I really want you to make something with strawberries. No excuses (unless you’re allergic to strawberries, then you get a pass).

Savory treats are a must!

Mushroom and Onion Shells and Cheese might feel like more of a cold weather dish but does Mac and Cheese every really go out of season? No way.

Asparagus and Gruyere Tarts are totally easy and require very few ingredients. Plus you get to arrange asparagus which feels pretty satisfying.

Celebrate eggs with this Onion and Ricotta Frittata. Embrace puff pastry with these French Onion Pastry Puffs. Throw in some greens with Creamy Zucchini and Tarragon Soup.

Whatever comes out of your kitchen, I hope it’s warm and comforting and tastes like Spring.

I’m busting out my ice cream maker this weekend so… GET EXCITED! A suggestion, not a demand.
